China's Big Tech Signs Convention on Shared Agent Infrastructure
Twenty Chinese organizations, including Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, and the government-backed China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, published a self-discipline convention on agent development on November 4. The signatories commit to building shared infrastructure so agents from different vendors can find and talk to each other: registration and resolution, capability description and discovery, intent understanding and conversion, network routing, resource scheduling and metering, plus protocol compatibility and mutual recognition.
The convention also targets adoption, promising low-barrier development and deployment tools, joint work on agents for real operational settings, and integration into existing production systems and business processes rather than standalone demos. No technical specifications, timelines, or governance body were disclosed.
