Microsoft Launches Copilot as a Super App with Three Tabs
Microsoft has relaunched Copilot as a unified super app divided into three tabs. Home merges chat and the Cowork agent into one interface. Code, built on GitHub Copilot, generates internal applications, dashboards, and automations from natural-language descriptions in an isolated runtime. Autopilot (formerly Scout) runs in the cloud with its own account and persistent memory, continues tasks in the user’s absence, and can be @-tagged as a colleague in Teams and Outlook.
The pricing model splits along two lines: Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams stays on per-user subscriptions, while Cowork, Code, Autopilot, and the newest models are consumption-based. Admins can control spending through a FinOps for AI panel. Home and Code will reach Frontier program participants in the coming weeks; Autopilot will follow in closed preview.
