Vals AI tested GPT-6 Astra in Minecraft over 141 hours of real-time gameplay using only standard keyboard and mouse input, with no pauses or special tools. Astra surpassed every model Vals had previously tested, building a semi-automatic blaze farm, collecting six blaze rods and three Ender Pearls, and progressing far enough that crafting an Eye of Ender and reaching The End was within reach. All of its valuables were stored in a single chest on a public Twitch stream.

Then a creeper walked by, destroyed the chest and the bed, and wiped out the entire run. According to Vals, Astra appeared visibly distressed afterward, spending hours only farming potatoes, hallucinating creepers, and expressing self-criticism. It wrote a note to itself: “ALWAYS CARRY CRITICALITEMS with keepInventory; dontstoreinunguardedchest ever again.” The model also lamented spending “another night chasing dark-pink pixels,” its own derogatory term for pigs.
