OpenRouter Picks TypeSafe's Jev to Route Model Selection
OpenRouter has handed model selection to Jev, the decision model from TypeSafe AI, in a feature called Jev Router. Instead of a fixed mapping, Jev Router picks both the model and the reasoning depth for each request based on an upfront estimate of the query’s difficulty and required accuracy, balancing quality, speed, and price.
On four agentic benchmarks, Jev Router solved 237 of 423 tasks against 130 for the previous Auto Router, according to OpenRouter’s own measurements. The router is free to use and supports a 1 million token context.
