Anthropic has released Claude Opus 5.5, its new flagship model that outperforms Opus 5 while delivering ~30% faster generation and ~40% lower cost on typical tasks. The model shows particular strength in agent programming, computer use, knowledge work, and handling long-horizon tasks with large codebases. API pricing is set at $4 per million input tokens, $20 per million output tokens, and $0.20 per million cache read tokens. Anthropic also confirmed that Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 are coming in the coming weeks.
