Alibaba Opens HappyShrimp Music Generator to Public Beta
Alibaba has opened the public beta of HappyShrimp, a music generator that assembles a complete track — melody, arrangement, and vocals — from a song text or genre description. Users can specify instruments, style, and dynamics; genres currently cover five options: pop, rock, electronic, jazz, and traditional Chinese music. For the service, Alibaba partnered with Chinese label Taihe Music Group.
The free tier grants a daily generation quota, while paid plans start at $5/month for 150 tracks and $20/month for 800 tracks with up to six concurrent generations.
