Apptronik Opens Robot Park — an 8,000 sq m Data Factory for Humanoid Training
Apptronik has launched Robot Park in Austin, an 8,000 sq m facility designed as a continuous data-collection pipeline for humanoid robots. Apollo 2 units in both bipedal and wheeled configurations work autonomously and via teleoperation on logistics tasks—carrying boxes, opening doors, and navigating uneven terrain—while the gathered data feeds both the design of Apollo 3 and Google DeepMind’s Gemini Robotics model training. With its own dedicated proving ground, Apptronik aims to overcome the industry-wide data shortage and gain an edge over competitors like 1X, Figure, and Tesla Optimus Academy in building universal robots for unadapted human environments.
