Microsoft Unveils Majorana 2 Quantum Chip, Targets 2029 for Full Quantum Computer
A year after the debut of Majorana 1, Satya Nadella has unveiled Majorana 2, Microsoft’s next-generation scalable quantum processor. The company claims the new chip delivers qubits that are roughly 1,000 times more accurate than its predecessor, enabled by a novel lead-based material. Microsoft is now targeting 2029 as the timeline for building a fully functional quantum computer.
