Microsoft and GitHub have introduced Exam GH-600 Agentic AI Developer (beta) — an official certification test for building and managing AI-powered development workflows. The 120-minute exam assesses skills in managing AI agents, their memory, Copilot workflows, and AI-augmented software development lifecycles.

  • Focus areas: AI-assisted software development, internal AI agent workflows, multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop AI systems, and managing AI for secure project execution.
  • Cost: $165 via Pearson Vue, with an 80% discount for the first 100 candidates using voucher GH600Flanders.
  • Availability: The beta exam is currently unavailable in India, Pakistan, Turkey, and China.
  • Timeline: Beta launched in May 2026, with results published ~8 weeks after the beta period ends. General availability is expected in July 2026.
