Exa has integrated with Gemini through two channels: “Grounding with Exa” in Vertex AI (currently in preview) and the Exa Agent available in the Gemini Enterprise agent marketplace. “Grounding with Exa” connects Gemini to the public web via the Exa API, with the Highlights model extracting relevant fragments from web pages to reduce noise and improve freshness and factual accuracy. Meanwhile, the Exa Agent allows users to research the web, find similar pages, and extract content by URL directly within Gemini’s workspace, with easy installation through the agent catalog requiring no coding.
