OpenAI has introduced GPT-5.5, a significant upgrade excelling in key areas such as coding, research, analytics, and document handling. The model outperforms competitors notably, achieving an 82.7% score on Terminal-Bench compared to 69% by the latest Claude model.

GPT-5.5 is currently available to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users through ChatGPT and Codex, with a price increase to approximately $5/$30 per million tokens. The rollout is ongoing for all subscribers.
