OpenAI has introduced a new ChatGPT Pro plan priced at $100 per month, specifically tailored for heavy Codex users. This plan offers five times the Codex usage limits compared to the Plus plan and is designed for long, resource-intensive sessions. Existing Pro features, including exclusive Pro models and unlimited access to Instant and Thinking models, remain unchanged.

Until May 31, new Pro subscribers will enjoy up to 10 times Codex usage relative to Plus to help users adjust. However, Plus subscribers face stricter limits as OpenAI shifts focus to more frequent shorter sessions rather than long marathons. The Plus plan at $20 is still recommended for everyday use, while the Pro plan is aimed at heavy Codex workloads.
