Anthropic Releases Claude Opus 4.6 with Enhanced Capabilities
Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.6, an upgraded version of its flagship model that features improved planning, longer retention of complex tasks, and better stability with large codebases. The model now supports a beta context window of 1 million tokens, enabling it to handle large projects, lengthy documents, and intricate reasoning chains without losing coherence.
Tests show that Opus 4.6 achieves state-of-the-art performance in agent programming, interdisciplinary reasoning, knowledge work, and agent search. Additionally, Claude’s capabilities are expanding in Excel, PowerPoint, Claude Code, and API to integrate more deeply into workflows, analytics, and development.
